Easy dessert/snack alert!!!
Pick up four ingredients at Trader Joe's, and you can very quickly make
these cool and sweet Chocolate-Covered Strawberry Frozen Yogurt
Bites!
Enrobed in dark chocolate, these frozen yogurt bites are flavored with
all-natural freeze-dried strawberries and honey! (Freeze-dried strawberries
are different than regular "dried" fruit. No added sugar, no sticky texture.)
A bonus? Whether you eat these bites for a snack or dessert, they also
pack a protein punch and some fiber to boot!
A WARNING: These are delicious, but they are messy! Do not hand one to
your toddler and let them loose on your white couch. Nope. This is a
multi-napkin, eat-at-the-kitchen-island treat!
What you'll need to make Chocolate-Covered Strawberry Frozen Yogurt Bites
:
- Trader Joe's Nonfat Greek Yogurt
- Trader Joe's Freeze-Dried Strawberries
- Trader Joe's Honey*
- Trader Joe's Dark Chocolate Chips
*our Trader Joe's sells a local brand of honey, so your Trader Joe's honey
might look a little different.
Trader Joe's 4-Ingredient Chocolate-Covered Strawberry Frozen Yogurt
Bites
YIELD: 8-10 bites
PREP TIME: 15 minutes
FREEZE TIME: 3 hours
1.2-ounce package Trader Joe's Freeze-Dried Strawberries
16-ounce tub Trader Joe's Nonfat Greek Yogurt
2 teaspoons Trader Joe's Honey (our TJ's sells local honey; yours may look
different)
10-ounce bag Trader Joe's 72% cacao Dark Chocolate Chips
Pour all of the contents of the freeze-dried strawberry container into a food
processor. Run until the strawberries are a fine powder. Stir honey into the
yogurt. Add in strawberry powder.
Dollop large spoonfuls onto a parchment paper-lined cookie sheet. You'll want
8-10 dollops. Freeze for 2 hours or more until frozen. Once frozen, melt
chocolate in microwave in 30-second increments at 50% power, stirring between,
until melted.
Quickly dip strawberry yogurt bites into the chocolate, then return to cookie
sheet. Freeze for another hour or until frozen.
For best eating, let sit at room temperature for 5 minutes before serving.
