Hellooooooo, carb lovers!
Maybe we spent too much time at the Olive Garden as teenagers, but we cannot resist a breadstick. (Do you call them breadsticks or bread sticks? Trader Joe's uses two words.)
You'll find Trader Joe's Garlic & Cheese Bread Sticks in the store's fresh bread/bakery section. They're not frozen or refrigerated but come in a vacuum-sealed package. They cost $3.99.
I actually served these at a dinner party BEFORE trying them. I knew I'd have my hands full with the entree and side dish, but I still wanted to serve bread. The short bake/warm time on these convinced me they'd be worth the risk of not trying first! (So brave!)
Each package contains 8 breadsticks, which are pre-baked and must be baked/warmed before serving. We found the 3 to 5 minutes suggested to be perfect for heating, whether we baked them on a cookie sheet or placed them directly on the oven racks.

ReplyDeleteI've seen these but never tried them, good to know they are worth it! I'll have to buy some soon. Thanks for your reviews, I find them very helpful when scoping out the shelves at TJ's!
ReplyDeleteWe tried these once, they were just ok because they had cooled down. I guess we should have read your review and suggestion about only eating them heated.
ReplyDeleteLooks delicious!
