Heads up! It's a limited edition!
We're no strangers to Trader Joe's skincare, hair care, and body care products...but it's been a while.
Some of the Trader Joe's beauty items we've reviewed in the past:
- Trader Joe's Firming Body Butter
- Trader Joe's Daily Facial Sunscreen
- Trader Joe's Shampoo Bar
- Trader Joe's Marula Facial Oil
- ....to name a few. More here.
Trader Joe's Brazil Nut Body Oil is a limited-edition full-size product that you might have seen in a smaller size in a holiday gift set.
The 4-ounce bottle with pump costs $6.99. The pump dispenses the golden-hued oil quite liberally.
The copy on the bottle describes Trader Joe's Brazil Nut Body Oil as "made with squalane and guarana extract," both moisturizing agents. The body oil also contains Brazil nut, sunflower, olive, macadamia, and jojoba oils.
The scent is salted caramel and pistachio. I immediately recognized it as similar to Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Bum Bum Cream. (They also make an oil, which I have yet to try.)
Trader Joe's Brazil Nut Body Oil Review
REVIEW (Bridget): Silky, rich, and heavily scented, I swooned over my the first application of Trader Joe's Brazil Nut Body Oil. It gave my skin a nice little sheen and glow. The salted caramel and pistachio scent initially grabbed my attention, but wow, it's long-lasting and quite strong. It might even overpower a perfume. I love gourmand and vanilla-centric scents, but this one reads "young" to me. My skin does feel softer, even hours after applying.
Is Trader Joe's Brazil Nut Body Oil a dupe for Sol de Janeiro Bum Bum Firmeza Firming & Debloating Body Oil? I can't say for sure, but the scent is quite similar.
Overall rating: 4 out of 5 stars
Will I buy it again? I'm not sure. If there was a lightly-scented or unscented version, YES!
