Trader Joe's, what does "piquant" mean? 

Piquant means having a pleasantly sharp taste or appetizing flavor. A good way to remember it is that something curious can pique your interest. Something piquant is stimulating your taste buds. 

Trader Joe's Piquant Popcorn is "seasoned with nutritional yeast, onion, sea salt & garlic." Don't be scared if you've never heard of nutritional yeast. It gives the flavor of cheese but is dairy-free.

Trader Joe's Piquant Popcorn Nutrition Information and Weight Watchers Points

Trader Joe's Piquant Popcorn costs $2.99 for a 5-ounce bag. There are approximately five 2 1/2-cup servings per bag. 

Each serving has 140 calories, 7 grams of fat, 3 grams of fiber, and 4 grams of protein. If you're looking for a low-point Weight Watchers snack, each serving is 3 WW points.

Trader Joe's Piquant Popcorn Review

He says (Mark): Nice crunch but a bit too many small, broken pieces in the bag. The popcorn is not overly seasoned. It has a nice balance of you-know-it's-seasoned but not overwhelming like some big-name snacks. There was no bad aftertaste, which is exceptional given we have onion and garlic flavoring in the mix. But alas, it's not very memorable.

She says (Bridget): If Trader Joe's had labeled this snack as White Cheddar Popcorn, I wouldn't have batted an eyelash. That's the taste that came through for me: lightly cheesy. I'm grateful that the onion and garlic flavors were subtle. Who wants to worry about onion and garlic breath after eating popcorn? The popcorn isn't as crispy as homemade or movie theater popcorn, but I think that's typical for any bagged popcorn that isn't kettle corn.
