Trader Joe's mini Gingerbread People cookies are described as "gingerbread cookies with white fudge icing." A (big!) 16-ounce box costs $4.49. (Up from $2.99 when we first reviewed them on Bake at 350 in 2015.)

These mini cookies have a stamped gingerbread pattern on the front and a generous coating of white fudge icing on the bottom. 

The suggested serving size is 4 cookies, which clocks in at 150 calories. 

A peek at the ingredient list shows that these cookies get their flavor from molasses, crystallized ginger, cinnamon, ground ginger, and allspice. 

Fun fact: When we first saw these cookies in 2015, they were called "mini gingerbread men." Now they're called "mini gingerbread people." I love that. As the saying goes, women are gingerbread, too. Or something along those lines.

She says (Bridget): Danger! Danger! These cookies are utterly addictive! Crispy, crunchy, spicy...I cannot get enough. The creamy white chocolate coating on each cookie is the perfect foil to the spicy flavor. I noticed in the ingredients list that not only are these made with ground ginger but with crystallized ginger. I think that's the secret to their excellent flavor. Open a box at your own risk. How cute would these be on a cake...or a gingerbread house?!?

He says (Jack): These little guys are pretty darn good. You can definitely tell that there is real ginger being used in the cookie, the consistency of which is a nice balance between chewy and crunchy. The "fudge icing" isn't very fudgy, but it does have a pleasant taste, which is not too rich or over-the-top, something which I particularly enjoy. Lastly, there is a nice spicy aftertaste, something that will probably send you back for another handful... or boxful.
