Trader Joe's Gluten-Free Strawberry Muffins Review

He says (brother N, age 12): These gluten-free muffins are a delicacy not to be overlooked, but they are expensive for a small pastry. The muffin itself is airy and light, indicating its expert quality. The strawberry flavor was not as strong as I expected. This was okay, though, for the overall taste would have been too sweet if there was more berry flavor. The sugar on top of the muffin is a nice touch and adds texture to the dessert. There are four muffins in a box, which is a good size for a family. There is not enough in a single box to hand out to your classmates or advisory, so they wouldn't be the best treat to bring into school. Apart from the price, Trader Joe's muffins are great, especially for being gluten-free.

Overall rating: 5 out of 5 stars

She says (sister B, age 8): I enjoyed eating Trader Joe's gluten-free strawberry muffins. They were quite delicious due to the sweet combination of strawberry mixed with the solid taste of the muffin. Gladly, these muffins weren't dry or soggy and had a good consistency. I could also taste the strawberry in a non-overpowering flavor. There are four muffins in the pack for about six dollars, which I think is a fine price since they are gluten-free. The muffins are also very large, so I would suggest only having one per serving. My only downside is that the muffin itself isn't packed with much flavor, so the strawberries were what I enjoyed most. Luckily, the combination of both foods turned out to be a delicious treat.
Overall rating: 4.5 out of 5 stars

Would they buy them again?
(N): I would buy these muffins as a special treat or for a celebration. They are not something I would buy all of the time, but for special occasions, I would be willing to pick them up.
(B):  I would absolutely buy these again. They are a great dessert and/or snack!

Trader Joe's Gluten-Free Strawberry Muffins: Almost a double 5-star, and yes, worth the calories! ;)
