For background, the skin around my eyes has become sensitive. I need a
daytime moisturizing cream for my eye area, but anything harsh like retinol
is a no-go.

Trader Joe's Supreme Hydrating Eye Cream sounded like just the ticket. The
cashier confirmed my choice, saying it's her favorite eye cream, and she
feels it energizes the area around her eyes. Sign me up!

The .53-ounce tube costs $5.99. The cream is, well, creamy. It's a white
cream, and when I rub a little into the back of my hand, I can see and feel
the moisture. It is a product of New Zealand.
The cream contains plant extracts, collagen, and COQ10.
Trader Joe's Supreme Hydrating Eye Cream Review
REVIEW (Bridget): My first clue should have been that the cream stung
on application...just the tiniest bit, but a stinging sensation, nonetheless.
The stinging faded quickly and was nothing like an eye cream with retinol or
the like. My makeup went on smoothly, and my eye area felt very moisturized.
During the day, I noticed my eyes were a little irritated, but I thought maybe
it was dry eye or my makeup. The next morning (I have a separate eye product
for nighttime), I applied more of the eye cream before going for a walk. By
the time I got home, my eyes were stinging. The eye cream had traveled in the
heat and gotten into my eyes. No bueno. For me, this eye cream just doesn't
work.
Overall rating: 1 of 5 stars
Will I buy it again? That's a no. :)
Trader Joe's Supreme Hydrating Eye Cream: If you have sensitive skin
around your eyes or like to put on a little eye cream before a workout, I
don't recommend this one.

I had the same problem, after using the cream my eyes were on fire. And I kept trying the cream lower down on my cheeks away from the eyes and the skin seem to still absorb the cream and travel into my eyes. It was really painful.
