if they still carry the
Blueberry Waffles
next time I'm in the store!

Trader Joe's Gluten-Free Toaster Waffles Review
She says (sister B, age 8): Although these waffles were a bit dry, they
managed to still stand rewarding: they were gluten-free, cheap, and not to
mention that the pack contained eight whole waffles! My overall conclusion is
that these waffles weren't the best tasting waffles you could buy, but because
of their other standards, I would still encourage you to buy some.
Overall rating: 3.5 of 5 stars
He says (brother N, age 12): These waffles are an exciting treat for
someone who is gluten-free, but they have some drawbacks. I was ecstatic when
I discovered these waffles; finding gluten-free waffles is very rare. It also
came as a surprise that the normal batter was infused with small amounts of
fruit concentrate, e.g., pineapples and peaches. This was integral to the
taste of the breakfast food because it would have been dry and uninteresting
without that special kick. However, it still needed some maple syrup and
butter to taste good.
The instructions are a bit flawed if I had to quibble. The front of the box
indicated that these waffles could only work if you had access to a toaster,
which I do not. Only when I looked on the back did I realize that there were
also instructions on how to bake them in the oven. It suggested cooking them
for 2-4 minutes, but they tasted just fine when cooked for five minutes. There
was not a description on the back of the package. I wonder if this was just a
simple mistake (like a spelling error I found in the heating instructions) or something else, such as not having enough space or not having anything
good to say about these waffles. The prices are spectacularly low, or at least
lower than some waffles I have seen. In addition to that, they also come with
eight entire waffles! My final evaluation is that they are a good treat for
the gluten-free but are naturally a bit dry and bland.
Overall rating: 4 of 5 stars
Will they buy them again?
(B): I would probably buy these again, only because it's rare to find
a pack of gluten-free waffles. (N):
If I could find them, I would definitely pick these up, not because of the
taste, but mostly because of how rare gluten-free waffles are.
Trader Joe's Gluten-Free Toaster Waffles: Maybe not the most spectacular
tasting, but a treat for those who need a gluten-free option.
