Trader Joe's Belgian Cookie Assortment Review
She says (Bridget): Well, you should know that this style of cookie isn't exactly my cup of tea. When I crave a cookie, I want a COOKIE. That said, the almond butter thins did have a great snap...I couldn't help but think that Paul Hollywood would approve. Although, having two almond butter thins in a three-cookie "assortment" felt a bit like cheating. The lemon waffle cookie was my least favorite of the bunch. Both the flavor and texture felt a little flat.
Overall rating: 3 of 5 stars
He says (Mark): The packaging makes the contents look tempting, and the descriptions of all three cookies are accurate. Both butter thins were decent, and the crunch was perfection. I wanted to like the waffle cookie more since I love waffle cones, but, alas, I didn't. As a fan of butter cookies, I found it odd that I couldn't love any of these three, and I barely liked them.
Overall rating: 2 of 5 stars
Will we buy these again? Sadly, no. We hate saying no to cookies.
Trader Joe's Belgian Cookie Assortment: Crisp cookies with a great snap, but they didn't strike our fancy.
