Described on the package as "...rolled thin crispy wafer cookies enrobed in rich, creamy milk chocolate."
A 3.52-ounce box of about 21 cookies will set you back around $3.00. Someone (OK, it's me) forgot to save the receipt.
Six cookies per serving! This is a suggested serving size we can get behind.
We reviewed the non-chocolate version here: Trader Joe's Frech Crepe Wafer Cookies.
Trader Joe's French Chocolate Crepe Wafer Cookies Review
She says (Bridget): I'm so impressed with the crispiness of these cookies. The wafer layers shatter satisfyingly with each bite. I'm also impressed that, given their delicate nature, all the cookies in the package were intact! Six cookies per serving, yes, please! The milk chocolate, though, was a bit bland. Now, if these were covered in DARK chocolate, I might have a problem on my hands. A problem in that they'd be perfect, and I'd never be able to have these in the house.
Overall rating: 4 of 5 stars
He says (Mark): TJ's Thin + crispy + crepe wafer + cookie = YUM! This treat from TJ's combines my favorite chocolate with a superbly light crunch. The serving size says 6, which sounds like plenty, but one could easily double it. These are satisfying but not overly filling. Have one before dinner when nobody is looking. You won't ruin your appetite. Perhaps they could bring us a dark chocolate version as well to make the Mrs. happier?*
Overall rating: 5 of 5 stars
Will we buy these again? Yes and yes!
*Note from Bridget: Does my husband know me well, or what? He knew I'd be jonesing for a dark chocolate version.
