Trader Joe's Gluten-Free Breaded Shrimp Review
He says (brother N, age 11): I have had much better shrimp than the Trader Joe's Gluten Free Breaded Shrimp at seafood restaurants, but this product held its own for a frozen entree. One of my main complaints about this shrimp is that it was not crunchy. I was a bit surprised by this at first, and I wonder if the result would have been different if we had fried the shrimp instead of baking it. The overall flavor of the shrimp is on par with other shrimp dishes I have had, but the bread to meat ratio left a little to be desired. Normally I don't eat breaded shrimp because it has gluten, so that might be why I thought that the shrimp pieces had a tad too much bread. For a gluten-free dish, it was executed well, so I was not dismayed by the unusual ratio. This was ultimately a good lunch for a half-day of school.
