Don't you love how the cashiers and baggers (is that the proper name?) are just as enthusiastic about Trader Joe's products as we are? It never fails when I'm checking out that someone at the register is saying, "oooh...have you tried this yet? It's SO good!"
When I bought these Caramel Coffee Cashews, the bagger exclaimed, "These come IN A TIN this year?!?" Clearly a fan. I couldn't wait to try them. *cue suspenseful music*
Yes, Caramel Coffee Cashews come in a tin. An 11-ounce tin, to be exact. It'll set you back $6.99.
There's no description on the package. Ingredients include cashews, sugar, butter, and coffee powder to start.
Trader Joe's Caramel Coffee Cashews Review
REVIEW (Bridget): These remind me of Cracker Jacks. And I hate Cracker Jacks. You know how the caramel on Cracker Jacks is so dark that it tastes bitter? Same with these. I really don't think it's the coffee (I love coffee-flavored things: see our Coffee Bean Hold the Cone and Brownie Crisp Coffee Ice Cream Sandwich review); I think the caramel has been cooked too long. It makes me wonder if the coating would vary by batch. The whole cashews are plump and have that satisfying soft crunch, but they're ruined by the bitter coating. Coffee flavor is there, but again, I mainly just get BITTER. If you're a fan of Cracker Jacks, you might love these. I'll pass.

Will I buy these again? No.
Trader Joe's Caramel Coffee Cashews Review: I think you can skip these.
I still love the idea of this flavor combination. Here are some recipes to try:
- caramel and cashew pull-apart bread with coffee ice cream (nancy fuller)
- caramel, cashew, and coffee smoothie (donna hay for nespresso)
- coffee cashew shortbread (food fashion party)
