Let's take a small break from food talk to review Trader Joe's Marula Facial Oil.
I'm always intrigued by facial oils but don't know much about them. I found out that Marula oil comes from the Marula tree found in sub-Saharan tropical Africa. It has antioxidant properties that promote hydration and seal in moisture. Byrdie has a really informative article about Marula oil and its benefits.

The packaging of Trader Joe's Marula oil reads, "cold pressed virgin marula seed oil." From the back of the packaging, "...offers antioxidants and hydration for help promote soft, radiant skin." A .85-ounce bottle costs $6.99. The one and only ingredient here is marula oil.
For price comparison, Drunk Elephant's 1-ounce bottle of marula oil at Sephora costs $72. A 1-ounce bottle from The Ordinary marula oil can be found at Ulta for $9.90.
The bottle comes with a dropper applicator which is handy for dispensing small amounts and keeping any contaminants out of the bottle.
Trader Joe's Marula Facial Oil Review
REVIEW (Bridget): Why, oh why has it taken me so long to try this?!? My thirsty skin LOVES this marula oil! It leaves my skin glowy and dewy but not greasy or heavy...and the moisture actually lasts. Oh, I also love there are no fragrances or other added ingredients! I've been using it morning and night under my moisturizer. For my aging skin, this is a winner!
Overall rating: 5 of 5 stars
Will I buy it again? You bet!
