Today, we review Trader Joe's Everything But the Bagel Potato Chips. The official name is a little longer: Trader Joe's Everything But the Bagel Seasoned Kettle-Cooked Potato Chips. *whew - a mouthful*

Introduced in 2017, Everything But the Bagel Seasoning has achieved cult status, but we've seen varying takes on the potato chips.

What's in the Everything But the Bagel Potato Chips?

Here's the seasoning blend as listed in the bag:

• poppy seeds
• salt
• sesame seeds
• natural flavors (hmmm...)
• onion powder
• garlic powder
• black pepper

These EBTBSKCPC come in a 7-ounce bag and cost $2.49. In our store, they were stocked on an endcap display and in the chip section. Check both places. Also, should we just refer to them by the acronym from now on?

She said (Bridget): Oh so flavorful! Golden yellow and thin, the chips are delightfully crispy and crunchy. The everything bagel seasoning is there but not completely overwhelming. If you're wearing masks, they're perfect. No need to worry much about garlic/onion breath or seeds stuck between teeth. Post-mask wearing, I'd caution against eating these before a big meeting, a date, or packing in your lunchbox if you're hoping to run into your crush. (Mark always teases me for reminding him not to eat hummus or something super garlicky before meetings. Just looking out for you guys!)

He said (Jack): It must be difficult to emulate all of the flavors that typically come in everything bagels, but all I can taste in this is onions. Maybe a hint of general bagel-ness, too. They might as well be called onion chips :(

He said (Mark): I’m a Chip Guy, and these are a chip off the old (bagel) block.  Perfect kettle crunch, perfect seasoning, and great as a snack or a side with lunch.  Highly recommend these.  Just don’t eat them before a date or an important meeting (unless it’s via Zoom).  These have a flavor profile that keeps on giving.

Will we buy them again? No. There are other chips we can agree on...without worrying about garlic/onion breath or seeds stuck in our teeth.
