If you haven't visited the cheese section of Trader Joe's, you're missing out. I know, I know, I'm all about the chocolate, too, but Trader Joe's has a killer cheese department. This week, our review is of Trader Joe's Chevre with Honey - Honey Goat's Milk Cheese.
A 5-ounce package of the cheese costs $2.99. It comes vacuum-packed with an easy-open side peel. Interestingly, the cheese is flavored with honey and "honey powder." Honey powder sounds like it needs to be part of my beauty routine.
Now, I'll tell you that I was a little trepidatious about reviewing this. See, I have BIG love for goat cheese, but I only like honey in small doses. One of my grandmothers treated coughs with spoonfuls of honey, and let's just say that still haunts me.
Trader Joe's Chevre with Honey Review
Review (Bridget): Oh yes, HONEY! The honey adds a perfect bit of sweetness to the tangy, rich, smooth goat cheese. Like, it's seriously delish! The cheese will soften after it's been at room temperature for about 5 minutes, so definitely do that before spreading. Epicurious recommends at least 15 minutes at room temp. And, um, this is so, soooooo yummy spread on these Strawberry & Jalapeno Crisps. This combo will be on every cheese platter I serve from here to infinity.
Overall rating: 5 of 5 stars
Would I purchase this again? I will. Again and Again.
